Turkey units in pool. Bug or not?

Post by Joseignacio »

Hello

Turkey has been declared war by Axis, and its units joined the USSR pool.
Then USSR liberated Turkey (as a way to slow GE units)
Then GE recaptured Turkey (annihilating those few para).

Now GE controls all of the cities of Turkey, so I believe no turkish unit should be in the pool, they should be waiting to re-enter the USSR pool when the country is liberated again, since USSR is not a home country for incompletely conquered country. The conquer was complete.

Am I right? If so, this is a bug.

I do not follow the order of events here.

Is it as follows?
1) Germany DOW Turkey
2) USSR adds Turkish units to the force pool
3) Germany conquers Turkey
4) USSR liberate Turkey
5) Germany conquers Turkey a second time?

Once a country is completely conquered all its current land and air units should all be removed from the game.

So the game is behaving strangely here.

Yes.

The reason I asked about event order is because I suspected that Turkey had been liberated, and then some of the Turkish units are returned and added to the Soviet force pool. And that it was at re-conquest the error appeared and they were not removed.

Sorry guys, I forgot to check this post. Yes, Orm, you got it right.

I liberated Turkey (step 4) with USSR using PARA, just to gain time to form a line in the Caucasus. Next turn, the GE annihilated my PARAs and conquered Turkey a second time.
