Hope that does not interfere with your excellent work mending and getting aound the game bugs. As well as I hope the confidentiality agreement lets you keep your own opinion still free, which I don't believe will happen.

My understanding of the NDA is that it covers the protection of the computer code and AI algorithms. An understanding I will 100% abide by if selected as a beta tester.

The game file is saved in a comma delimited, easily readable and editable, format. It's well documented in vol 2 of the player's manual. So the work I do on game file editing and documentation has nothing to do with the computer code or AI algorithms, and is therefore; to my understanding, outside of the NDA. As are my opinions. If this is in conflict with Matrix's or Steve's understanding of the NDA then they need not select me for beta testing.

If is consistent and I am selected then I believe that they will get a dedicated tester that will stive to advance MWIF.

Well, you'll the one to read and take it or not. I had some correspondence with betas and it seemed to me they were pretty limited about commenting aspects of the game. Of course, that could have been their understanding of the agreement and maybe it wasnt so limitative but they wanted to play safe. Dont think they were lying to me since I never pressed for not announced news, the one I had more contact with was Bo who, sadly, has passed away.

Michael,

Current beta testers will have access to the private beta test version for the AIO.

But you should let Max know so he can keep you informed as things proceed.

Surely you do not mean there has been no AI code development and no beta testing since August?

People should be given the option of a refund. This was a disaster

Well, I think the game was sold warning that there was no AI at the moment, I tend to remember.

If so, no refund is necessary for not having an AI. A different matter would be the bugs, but even though I get sour many times I dont regret buying it.

At least a store credit if not a refund.

No AI "at the moment" is very different from a decade later with no progress and being unwilling to hire a competent programmer.

Perhaps you could offer your services. You obviously know what you're talking about.
