5.0.0.10 - Cooperation bug with territorials

Post by BrianJH »

Somethings up with some of the Territorial Countries. Check out this example. The CW (UK) 7-3 unit cannot move and stack on the British Somalian 1-2 territorial unit. Neither, can the Indian 4-3 unit. The game thinks these units cannot cooperate. I think they should as both are Major Power CW units.

Oh another thing, I don't see British Somaliland appear in the Relations list

And yet another issue, it allowed me to the Tanganyikan Territorial unit into British Somaliland as well. Without a HQ there, not sure it should have let me do that.

Game save attached.

Ok, as best as I can determine, the reason British Somaliland doesn't appear in the Relations list is because it's not a country. It's a territory!!

Does this also explain the odd behaviors I'm experiencing with the lack of cooperation with it's territorial unit. Just because it's a territory, shouldn't it behave like a country wrt stacking with territorials from said territory.

Out of the FAQ of the boardgame:

What is the Home Country of TERR of
territories?
Itself. Date 16/01/2008

This means that those TERR are considered to be minor country units which only cooperate with the major power which controls them. So: bug.
