Chinese partisan defenders

Post by craigbear »

I have started using Chinese partisans in a different, for me, way than I normally have in the past. I used to place them on targets of opportunity (resources/rail hubs, etc) when available, but these are easily covered by competent Japanese play. Secondarily, I was putting them in safe cubbiholes in the north.

Now, my secondary goal is to look at ways I can incorporate them in the Commie defense. Quite often there is a convenient hex for placement from which they can enter Chinese territory to reach a CC unit for stacking. This adds to create some double unit stacks from which the partisans can be used to soak damage. Later, I suppose, they can be added to attacks to take damage results.

Anyhow, maybe this new-to-me tactic will work okay in the end,but this game the Chinese do seem stronger in defense.

Having existing partisan units on the map increases the probability of getting new ones.
