Victory conditions?

Sovereignty: Crown of Kings is a turn-based fantasy strategy game for the PC. It offers a intuitive yet deep province system, allowing you to raise armies, conduct diplomacy, scout enemy battle lines, rally heroes to your banner, send them on quests, cast spells and go to war. In Sovereignty, the player chooses one of 35 Realms in a bid for dominance of the map. Play is conducted in a series of turns as a single player game. Each Realm has a unique culture and history, which translates directly into different play-styles. Each realm has its own mix of unit types and spell trees. Their diplomatic relations, economies and histories vary. A player may choose a new realm and experience the game in a very different way. Fantasy heroes, troops, races and spells complement the rise to power.

Victory conditions?

Post by ASHBERY76 »

What are they?

I recommend rather than the generic conquer all condition have a look at DistantWorlds where each race has conditions based on their ethos as well as the usual conquer all.I think 4x games are better with more varied win conditions.

In Sovereignty, you'll be able to choose from hand-crafted Campaign Scenarios or more general "world conquest" type scenarios. We won't give too much away yet, but we have Scenarios featuring a number of victory conditions, and some with very indirect routes to victory. Here is an example from the dark haunt of Ravengard:

DARK COURTSHIP: In the shadowed halls of my castle, I am master. Ministers tremble at my glance, and generals fear my wrath. Still, for all my power, I am alone. In darkness I brood, and none may know the sorrow of the mighty lord of Sorenkeep. But there is another, far in the white North: a radiant Lady, flawless as a morning frost. For her, I ride forth. I seek union with the Winter Witch of Icespire.
o The Strength of Sorenkeep: Ravengard is not a Minor Power
o An Offering of Blood: Ravengard has a Hero Prisoner.
o Gate of Snowleaf: Ravengard has the spell: Astral Gate
o Campaign Failure: Icespire is destroyed.

Good Hunting!
