Game doesn't start

I am not able to play because game doesn't start. I tried to use autorun and run Hannibal.exe directly. I am able to see process Hannibal.exe using Task Manager but nothing happends. This process stays there forever. My OS is Vista SP2. I installed HannibalRC-SetupReleaseFull-100DR.exe first - didn't work. Then I've downloaded and installed HannibalRC-UpdateRelease-103.exe. It hasn't helped.

Well, of course I am sorry that you are having this problem. Let me ask you a few questions about your system to help me find the problem:

1) Can you please provide some information on your hardware? The make and model number of the machine, etc. Or did you build it yourself?

2) Can you please run dxdiag.exe and send the results to me in a .zip archive? You can use the "Save All Information" button in that diagnostic utility to save the information.

3) Are other games running normally on your system? Sorry, but I have to ask that question. [;)]

4) Out of simple curiosity, what is your Windows Experience Index?

If you prefer to keep this information private, please feel free to send it to me in a PM. Again, I'm sorry that this has happened to you and I'll try to get to the bottom of the problem as quickly as I can.

I checked: Demo works fine. So it doesn't look like I don't have good enough hardware...

I've had the problem before with changing the resolution of the game - the game wouldn't start and I had to reinstall to reset the changes. Just a lead though, not sure it's the cause here.

Well, I never was able to start game. I found workaround: I am using VMWare player and game works fine on virtual computer. Thanks mercenarius for attempts to help. We were not able to solve the problem but it seems like the problem is result of software mess on my computer. I see that this game developers care about customers.
