Save files?

Post by Uxbridge »

I like to freeze a save so I can return to it later, and then carry on with the present game; i.e. duplicate the save into two branches. I can't see how this is done in-game, so where may one find the save folder?

Just save and note the game date. When you eventually want to play from that date, hit "Load" when you re-start the game and pick that date. However sorting through all the saves is a pain in that the screen also has the base scenarios and the picture for the save is the same as the base. A simple listing of saves with the date saved would be nice.

Thanks for alla advice. And Warlord, I found them were you said.

But ... when I click load, there's only this one save there (unless I copy the save-folder, in which case there are two identical saves). In my earlier games, like AJE, there used to be a messy list of saves, but not this time.

Go in to the folder and delete the saves you don't want; remember when you saved them. You may be able to rename the aves - and, yes, it's messier than it should be.

Yes, what I recommended works. Delete the files you're not interested in and only those you care about show on "load".
