Can't register serial key

Good day,I got this game, Birth of America II - Wars in America, on gamersgate a few years ago and I want to register it on matrixgames as well but it won't let me. The code looks like this: J***P-2***N-***ND-7N***-6***J-G****02. It says [ Invalid Key ]. Any suggestions?

just have a word with support, as i'm not sure you can, but they will know for sure,
