For Liberty! - Any PBeM Activity?

Post by kool_kat »

Gents: [8D]

Thinking about purchasing For Liberty!... but need to know if there is any kind of player support for this game... especially PBeM? [&:]

I don't want to use my "hard earned" money to purchase a game... and then can't find any opponents!!

I appreciate any player feedback.

Thanks!
Regards, - Mike

Well... based on the lack of activity in this forum... I would venture a "yes" to your "dead" comment! [X(]

Do you own and play this game? Your observations on playablity?

I REALLY would like to find a "decent" 1776-era game!! [:(]

Well, I did play 1848 extensively, and I did try the For Liberty demo. It's a good system, don't expect anything hardcore but it does a decent job on what it does. However, no widescreen support, no more new updates, and of course no activity.

I also agree....I can't find a decent a 1776-era game either. I have HPS Campaign 1776, but I hate the small scale and it's only it's only battles, where as For Liberty it seems you can do more to change history and thing because of it's higher, more strategic scale.

I did send an email to Sean D. (Matrix Games) to inquire about the status and future of For Liberty! Hopefully, I'll get a response from him? [&:]

I did receive a reply from Sean... but he did not really answer my question... only stated he would try to assist me in looking for a game platform that would be suitable? [&:]

I ordered For Liberty! on Sunday... hopefully my order will get processed today (Monday, July 26th). [X(]

I like both the historical era... and game scale. Also, game reviews have been favorable.

Bolkonsky has offered to play me... and hopefully others who subscribe to this forum... will "dust off" their For Liberty! games... and become more active PBeM players? [&:]

Maybe we can start a "new" revolution here! [:'(] [;)]
