Ground textures

The Seven Years’ War was fought across the globe and called by some the first “World War” as virtually every major power participated. In the center of events was Prussia, almost constantly at war and lead by the now legendary Frederick the Great.

Relive the exciting and trying days of Frederick the Great in Horse and Musket: Volume I, the improved and expanded combination of the previous Prussian War Machine and Prussia’s Glory titles. Horse and Musket: Volume I is a reboot of the successful Horse and Musket series, including not only two solid historical titles in one package, but also many new game features, a powerful new editor, and a complete graphics overhaul to an already acclaimed gaming system.

Ground textures

Post by Sarge »

Ok here they are .............[;)]

I never worked with tga files and it took me sometime to figure couple of conversion issues out for editing .
I’ll ask Tim 'n Eric if there is a possibility of Matrix hosting in the Members Club.

Nice. I like the icons particularly, the ground seems a bit drab/brown/dark, particularly the fall set, which looks extremely muddy, and more suitable to WW1's western front (the stereotype, that is). Of course, depending on the weather condition and time of year, that's perfectly acceptable for a fall setting. It'd also make a good winter set for instances when there was no snow.

I would prefer different colors for the elevations. Hard for me to see as is.

Not sure if you guys knew this, though I made two different sets of terrain for the game. I thought we had uploaded this, good effort Sarge on your terrain. Here is how the other set looks like.

Not sure they're currently available, I know Magnus mentioned them before, but I don't recall any DL link or the like.

That set actually looks really good, more like a gaming table than the current one, without the fork-in-the-eye glare and overbrightness of PWM, which they're otherwise very reminiscent of. Good job, Magnus (and GJ on your E:TW work, too - you even managed to advertise HnM by way of that, well done).

Here is a download link http://www.easy-share.com/1908951775/Tabletop Terrain.rar. Make a backup of BaseTerrain.tga in each folder in your supportfiles/BattleFiles folder and rename the BaseTerrain_Winter and so on in the RAR file to just BaseTerrain and place in each of those folders. i.e Default, Fall, Spring and Winter.
