Campaigns on the Danube v3.03 is Now Official!

Frank Hunter's Campaigns on the Danube is an operational study of the campaigns along the Danube in 1805 and 1809. Campaigns on the Danube's system focuses on trying to present the player with the same sort of decisions placed on their historical counterparts; how to feed an army and move that army according to a plan, all the while trying to fight a campaign. There is also an option to allow players to play out the battles with miniatures and input the results.

No changes from the beta version were made other than making the patch official.

Cheers.

Installed v3.03 Official, so leading on from the beta thread, here is another small display problem. Selected ROUYER who is on a DEFEND order, the STANCE in the top box shows text LABEL1. I don't think it affects anything, just a display glitch.

The game top bar shows hex# and terrain type as you mouse-over the map hexes. The hex# always updates as you sweep over the map, but the terrain indication only changes when you pass over a town hex, otherwise it always shows 'Broken' in the top part of the map, or 'Clear' in the lower part of the map, irrespective of what type of terrain actually there. I am not sure if this transfers to how the game works, or just a display problem.

In the example below, the mouse cursor was actually over 'Wooded' terrain, but shows 'Broken', as this is in the upper part of the map, if I had put the cursor on a wooded hex in the lower section of the map, it would show 'Clear'. Cursor not showing in the screen capture, but is over hex 50,2 (Woods).

After saving a turn where the terrain has been shown as mud and the 'DanubeMud' map was used before the save, on re-loading as a game-save, the map returns to normal and the 'DanubeMud' map is not being selected.

thanks for that - i check in periodically to see if there is anyhting also, but i held off on asking support again as the last message had been more or less that its all in frank hunters hands and nothing we can do about it. but i hope there is some more movement since then

We are building and testing it. If we don't find any issues we will release it in a couple of weeks.
