Strange Hotseat Behavior

Frank Hunter's Campaigns on the Danube is an operational study of the campaigns along the Danube in 1805 and 1809. Campaigns on the Danube's system focuses on trying to present the player with the same sort of decisions placed on their historical counterparts; how to feed an army and move that army according to a plan, all the while trying to fight a campaign. There is also an option to allow players to play out the battles with miniatures and input the results.

Strange Hotseat Behavior

Post by 76mm »

I'm playing the 1805 campain against myself, hotseat, but I'm not sure what is going on...

The game seems stuck on October 8--I keep hitting the next turn button, and watching moves, etc., but the game seems to be repeating itself, and the turn has not advanced beyond Oct 8--I'm watching the turn's moves, but they seem to be repeating over and over--ie, my units are not actually moving, and when I hit "Next Turn", I watch the same moves over again, and the date does not advance.

It's hard to explain, it is like Groundhog Day--the Game. Has anyone encountered this behavior before?

[EDIT] When I try to watch the French moves, nothing happens--it jumps straight to the planning phase; I can watch the Coalition moves, but as described again, it plays over and over again. None of my units from either side have moved in a long time.

hmmm, so no one has seen this before? What about during PBEM games? I can send a save game file if there is anyone to send it to?
