Mud Map

Frank Hunter's Campaigns on the Danube is an operational study of the campaigns along the Danube in 1805 and 1809. Campaigns on the Danube's system focuses on trying to present the player with the same sort of decisions placed on their historical counterparts; how to feed an army and move that army according to a plan, all the while trying to fight a campaign. There is also an option to allow players to play out the battles with miniatures and input the results.

Mud Map

Post by Rasputitsa »

The CHEMKID map mod has a subtle change between the clear weather map and the mud map, as CHEMKID wanted to keep the antique look.

It is sometimes difficult to notice that the map has changed, as the mud conditions don't appear until after it has been raining for several turns.

Thinking of adding a reminder into the map to highlight muddy roads.

Reluctant to deface such a magnificent map, but this is how it could look, as a note from your Chief of Staff.

It is in the top left of the map, as this is what you see when opening the game. The game hex grid over-prints the image, but the CHEMKID map contains its own hex grid and the heavier game grid can be turned off with the (H) hotkey.

This is a first try and the 'note' could be made to look more antique.

This is how the mud map could look with the game hex grid switched off, in antique form, as a reminder that the road conditions have changed. :
