Bug with Corps Headquarters / Other Bugs?

Frank Hunter's Campaigns on the Danube is an operational study of the campaigns along the Danube in 1805 and 1809. Campaigns on the Danube's system focuses on trying to present the player with the same sort of decisions placed on their historical counterparts; how to feed an army and move that army according to a plan, all the while trying to fight a campaign. There is also an option to allow players to play out the battles with miniatures and input the results.

Bug with Corps Headquarters / Other Bugs?

Post by barbarossa2 »

I don't know how this happens, but it doesn't seem right at all.

After I started the 1805 campaign, I reassigned the engineer unit on the west side of the map by Napoleon to Marmont in the NE.

The next turn, after executing the orders, the Marmont HQ had jumped across half of the map and appeared right on top of the engineer. When I "reattached" the unit to its parent formation (I believe the army under Napoleon), the HQ jumped back to the area around Nurnburg.

Is this supposed to be happening?

Yes, ( according to a reply given to a previous similar post some 6+ months ago ). I think it moves to the unit to "gain" control and then moves back again ( both at speed ). You can also use the Corps. "unit" as a Scout ( as well as the calvery units ); have not mastered how yet , but you will see the AI use it as such sometimes.[;)]
