any chance of larger map?

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

any chance of larger map?

Post by general_solomon »

to the devs:

I cant wait to play cog:ee. you guy have done a great job so far.

two hopeful questions:

1. will the next installment of the game have a larger map with more provinces.

2. can you consider creating an ancient Rome version of the game.

keep up the good work.

The map has something like 70 new provinces and sea zones, so one wish has been fulfilled.

We'd love to do a Rome game one day -- after all, I'm an ancient historian by trade, and the others at WCS also have an interest in the period -- but we have other projects that we plan on doing before we can seriously consider it.

So, since you mentioned it... what might these other projects be?

this is very good news. I would imagine the ancient title would have to be done on the next generation of your engine.

I'll mention it, but I won't mention them. [;)]

In upcoming games please remember the following:

• Masters of Orion II and Masters of Orion III, one a classic the other an abject failure.
• Civilizations I, II, II and IV like fine wine keeps getting better.

MOO III was a failure because the developer failed to retain the things about MOO II that made it great. Civilizations keep all the things that made it fun and expanded on them.

I really enjoy CoG and FoF and I will buy all your upcoming titles unless you go the way of MOO III.

Kid,

I assure you CoG:EE is not going the way of MOO III. I agree with your assessment of why MOO III failed. I was almost heartbroken by that.

You should have said in YOUR opinion.

In my opinion MO III was the best of the series. While MO II was the worst one(still a good game)
In my opinion Civ II and IV where epic failures.

why couldn't they have just made this current game better. A larger map that would have all of Sweden and other nations. Oh i forgot they needed to make a new game so we can spend more money instead of just making the current game better.[:@]
