AAReport: Prussia

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

How long was the game?

According to the AAR I seems pretty fast.

I enjoyed that AAR, however, since I'm sympathetic to the French... I didn't throughly enjoy seeing them trashed :)

One thing that concerned me was how easy it seemed for you to build up a huge colonial empire with a relatively small Navy? Why were countries so willing to give you colonies in peacetime? Would France or Britain or Spain have traded away their colonies for a simple right of passage treaty?

If you ended the game with 165 colonies, how does that compare to Spain's Empire (what's the value of theirs?) What are the relative values of all the major powers' colonies?

Thanks ! And do one as France next time!

The AI doesnt seem to value colonies too highly and they arent worth too terribly much at the peace table. I think most players take what they can when they can in the form of colonies. If that turns out to be case after release (everyone gunning for colonies that the AI willingly surrenders), then I would imagine a tweak would be forthcoming based on that experience.

Thanks Uncle Joe...

Here's a follow up question, that maybe I should make a new thread for first...

Having played the game, and read the manual (well skimmed...) ... I've found that I can get colonies through treaties also, but they don't seem to change my colonial income.

My real question is... how do we know how many colonies we and other countries have? Is there a nation summary screen somehwere? I just can't find it.
