transport ships

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

transport ships

Post by goodwoodrw »

Will England have built transports to cross the channel? or is movement over the channel abstracted. if transports are needed can they be sunk?

Any naval division (heavy ships, ships, frigates or transports) can carry one land division (cav, inf or art) - so Britain has heaps of potential carriage potential.

When building new ships, more capable vessels are more expensive - as you would expect, transports are cheap, but not much use in battle.
