Typos noted in screenshots and diplomacy Qs

This sequel to the award-winning Crown of Glory takes Napoleonic Grand Strategy to a whole new level. This represents a complete overhaul of the original release, including countless improvements and innovations ranging from detailed Naval combat and brigade-level Land combat to an improved AI, unit upgrades, a more detailed Strategic Map and a new simplified Economy option. More historical AND more fun than the original!

Typos noted in screenshots and diplomacy Qs

Post by Mus »

Hey I noticed that the game engine still labels some units in the 100 and tens incorrectly, an issue in original COG that wasnt a big deal, but I still noticed. Example from Hard Sarge's AAR, first page "112nd" Cavalry and "113rd" Cavalry.

Could that be corrected easily?

Game looks great, new features look well implemented. One thing that hasnt been discussed in detail is protectorates and some of the diplomatic features in original COG vs new. Are they implemented differently at all?

I recall some issues with creating new nations in Crown of Glory. I will see if I can dig up the old threads.

Edit: Here are some of the issues discussed in detail.

Not very easily, but I'll take a look.

Some small changes to protectorates have been made.

You've seen how Hard Sarge writes. He probably infected the code!
Michael Jordan plays ball. Charles Manson kills people. I torment eager potential customers by not sharing screenshots of "Brother Against Brother." Everyone has a talent.

In the thead I posted its discussed how certain interactions with provinces making up minors makes it impossible to add them to protectorates or create new nations out of them and other strange quirks.

Any comment regarding that behavior? Mr. Z was doubtful some of this was WAD.

In COG:EE we have changed some of the protectorate / protectorate capital behavior that eliminates most of the quirks from COG; there are still a few things that might happen in ways that players don't expect because of mutually exclusive actions that affect the same protectorate on the same turn.

Thanks.

Hopefully that portion of the game will be a little smoother.

Just got a chance to check out the detailed naval discussion and that portion looks fantastic. Will make playing GB much more interesting.
