Units Un-available for Build

Post by anthonykevinluke »

Hi,

Apologies if I missed it somewhere in my first scan through the manual, but why can't I build any Arty or Cav in the 1792 (four turns in) or 1796 scenarios (two turns in) so far? I have the necessary resources without doubt but the only units that are able to be built are militia, Infantry, Corps and Army's. Playing as France, normal levels. Thanks in anticipation.

I haven't played that scenario as France, but could it be that none of your cities has the required number of Barracks developments to do so? Perhaps you need to build up your economy first.

Thanks for the quick reply Gil; no this is in Paris and it's barracks level is 7 and it has four levels of factories as well. If the mouse is hovered over the factories box in the province screen it states that three levels of factories are required for Artillery. So, I am puzzled?

Let us know what you find out, it could be a variety of things (lack of labor, or experience points in some instances).
