Purchased the game:question&request

This sequel to the award-winning Crown of Glory takes Napoleonic Grand Strategy to a whole new level. This represents a complete overhaul of the original release, including countless improvements and innovations ranging from detailed Naval combat and brigade-level Land combat to an improved AI, unit upgrades, a more detailed Strategic Map and a new simplified Economy option. More historical AND more fun than the original!

Purchased the game:question&request

Post by budd »

Just purchased the game, installed fine, works fullscreen, Thanks Zakblood for confirming. I've tried various DPI settings and things are a bit blurry, especially as you zoom out. The map fonts get way worse and seem to break up as you zoom out. Any information on settings to improve this would be appreciated. Another thing is i noticed in the downloads section for COG:EE there are alternate maps 1 & 2 for in game maps, advanced economy guide, font file, and a strategic map, all of these time out when you attempt to download. Can this be fixed as maybe the alternate maps and/or the font file would improve the blurry issue. I've tried to download from the members area and also the press media site but all the links time out.

please send me a copy of your DxDiag report by pm etc and i'll test your settings with mine and see what looks better, as it worked perfectly with mine

User DPI Setting: 120 DPI (125 percent)
System DPI Setting: 144 DPI (150 percent)

and i always use a custom DPI setting on a larger than normal screen 40" LED etc

Current Mode: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (60Hz)

i've not used any of these as not needed, but give 1 a try and see if it makes it better, if not turn back to default and try 2

ones for normal DPI errors

two is for higher than normal DPI error's but like i said, you shouldn't need to use either, mine are what's shown and reported, crystal clear tbh

Mine pretty much looks like yours, still want my Dxdiag? I play on a Win 10, 64bit gaming laptop at 1920x1080. Any chance those download links for the maps and other stuff can be fixed? Hoping that might clear it up or at least improve it some.

I just picked up 6 games from the sale, so i'm installing and updating them to confirm everything works. Thanks for all your testing, its helps with making informed choices. Give me a few and i'll get you my DX report if you still want it.
