Confederation of the Rhine

Post by lenin »

My background. pbem British. pbem Prussian.

I have posession of the Confedration of the Rhine

Pre-patch, they raised 80k troops of all sort, corps containers etc. Too much. Every year.

Post-patch. Raised nothing, even though the Rhinish staes were collectively richer than me. I have a 400k army, they have nothing. Gone from the sublime to the ridiculous. What else do they spend their hundreds of gold on? If nothing else, why don't they give it to me?

We need something inbetween, and something we can plan for?

I tested this playing Spain against the AI and Kingdom of Naples did still levy their normal troops in April. I'll run it through and see if mob limit has any effect.

Were you are over your mobilization limit? As Spain in that first years turn I wasn't, maybe that is the problem. They nerfed where they should have tweaked.

IMO they "fixed" something that wasnt ever really a problem because of complaints (never understood the problem with free units, if you dont want them disband them) and now the Feudal levvy just doesnt happen. So whatever the fix was is a little overdone.

Noticed the same thing in the new PBEM 109 game, no levvy at all, in "Another PBEM" Im already over the mob limit so didnt think anything when I didnt get any, but saw that most other people were not having them as well.

lenin, I checked the "Another PBEM" game and the reason you didn't get a spring levy for the Rhine is that one of the provinces is conquered and not protectorate. This was fixed in the patch, the listed territories need to all be protectorates in order to get the spring levy. Seems like you should still have received one for Bavaria though.

I haven't noticed the same as everyone else, just had a levy in pbem 109...

I just played the Spain and Kingdom of Naples scenario out a bit again and it turns out the units built by them don't even count against the mob limit although I didn't get up to the mob limit yet to see if they stopped coming.

I was playing a game as Prussia agaisnt the AI earlier and I was getting fuedal levy with the popup asking if I wanted to accept them. It was 1796 scenario and it built me a cavalry in Masovia and an infantry in Posen which are conquered nations with capitals in that scenario.

It could be something wrong with the PBEM games.  ?

Actually come to think of it, my example is different from feudal levy... I haven't seen that happen for a while in any of the games.

I wonder if the game could be automatically rejecting them.

We had some issues in our PBEM game where the merging player has to be told whether or not people want to evacuate their troops on surrender, even though that feature wasnt suppose to be implemented for PBEM games.

Could be same issue here or could be the game is autorejecting them in PBEM.

Or just an overcorrection as mentioned earlier

My own theory is that it's an overcorrection. The Germans aren't improving their provinces either. Still, will now make less difference if I lose any of them now. I have had the time to build and maintain an ass-whipping army as Prussia!

We had lowered the Feudal levy for minor powers in response to player feedback.  We are now working on raising them.
