Hi guys,

I bought this game several years ago. Great game that I really want to love but am having great difficulty with one aspect of gameplay.

How do you make money in this game? No matter what country I pick it seems that my income is in the red severely. After one or two turns I have no cash and go into the negative. I can't develop provinces, hire troops, maintain the military I do have.

I've tried many times to adjust the labor allocation in each province to max out gold production in each province at the expense of everything else and I just can't seem to even play past the first 10 turns. Having a balance that is 1000 gold or more in the negative puts an end to the game for me real fast. There is absolutely nothing on YouTube or anywhere else for that matter, including the game manual, for how to manage your economy so that it is profitable.

Desperately seeking any advice from someone who knows a thing or two about economy.

I am playing the 1805 campaign with the complex economy and I refuse to automanage the economy as I want hands on experience.
