let me know if you want me to write about the Path of Nappy game I started today with the released verison, or if you would rather wait for a unbaised AAR ?

Ill take any AAR to read while waitijng for the digital+physical release.

been up all day so far, so time for bed, will get some stuff together later tonight, may have a massive naval battle set up (trying to pull a Nappy and defeat it in detail before it can mass :)

okay to start with, this is the released verison, I was just setting up to do a quick test run, to look for things, before I found out we were ready for release, so I didn't really set up for a Game,Game, just a run though

so, settings,

Generous Ecc, Advanced Ecc, norm/norm combat, Path of Nappy

set up the provinces, getting a good amount of Iron, a little Wood, getting decent spice/lux for a change (again, I am planning on winning a number of sea battles (not as sure a thing as England, but...) provinces that make wool,  I went for, the ones that make Textiles, I leave alone (IIRC you need 4 wool for each Tex, so you only need so much, tex production)

plans for upgrading the provinces, will be Courts (need as many as you can get as France) Barracks (helps with troops and upgrades) and the ones that it will help most, Docks, down the road, I will look and work on Farms and Factories when I got the goodies to build them up

(HINT, don't work on FARMS early, Farms need food, to upgrade, and you want to be sure you have enough stockpiled before starting, you may cause your Pop to go hungry if you don't watch it)

my Troops

I send the 2 Grands to the East, one to try and join up with my Corps that is already there (going to be battles there soon), the other to help out with the Ossites that will be moving north,, I set up a Depot in Werttenburg (with one Inf guarding it) both Grands head into Wurzburg

(idea here is, if battles starts, I may be able to pull the Grands into action, as I am not going to be able to march into the battle)

in the North, I sent the troops in Holland to Handover to join the troops there, along with the other Crops that starts with the Grands (normally, if war starts with Prussia, I don't have any Arty support in the north)

in the south, I keep my two small Corps in place, if they march into Valanice, they may start a battle, and they are not a good battle group, wait a month and the Ossites should be marching north, and then it is a free road)

all the way south, I DOW on Naples, and move my small Corps to Naples (maybe not a good move, but...) Rome asks for protection and join the Ossites

I try a treaty with Prussia, get them on my side and get something in return

for  the Naval, I will try and pull out my two fleets from Breast and send them down to join the fleet coming out of Spain

for Diplos, got two set to capture other Diplos, one going to Wurztburg area for goodwill, the other going up to Denmarck (want there fleet)

Naval battles were confused

England won a big battle vs Spain, then I run into them, with one of my fleets heading south, and drive them away, they run into my other fleet with my Spanish Allies, but they are pretty much shattered and almost cost me the battle

my other fleet was not as fast, and get caught by the English, I win a close battle, then rejoin my other fleet

the next turn, we join up, from looking, I got some English trapped in the MED, with a Russian battle group joining in, and to the North, most of the English are massing, with another Russian group joining in

so, the idea is to try and pull off a Nappy, turn and defeat each battle group in detail, before they can join up, also, get away from the Spanish, I want to fight my own battle

on land, I defeat a Ossite Army, (my Grands were not in place yet) then the Ossites from the Mts run into my single Inf Div, set him up behind a river, and call for Help, Nappy with the Grand I, only hassle is, it is going to be night before my reinforcements show up

when night falls, my troop is still in place, the Ossites were just getting there Arty in place, when night stops the action

which then it gets interesting, the Ossites also call for help

day breaks, I crush his forward troops, and trap most of them, almost a prefect trap battle, but enough new Ossites come in, to keep the battle going, and night falls

I have Heavy Cav support with this army, so I force march during the night, this could be a master peice of a battle, I have most of the new enemy army, trapped, very heavy anvil in front to batter them, and Cav and Inf on there flanks and rear

the Enemy General seeing what was about to happen, gave the command to run away, so no masterpeice, but I still crippled those Armies of the Alps

next month, Grand II joins up with my Bavains, and it is the Russians turn, I find a nice area to defend, got a line of trees behind me, and another a few hexes in front of me, the only way the enemy can come at me, is over the open ground, but can't set up to fire on me

it is a slaughter, but, with the trees, I can't catch anything, so, just alot of pain

the start of Nov, my Armies

to be honest, I don't want the Ossites to fall, I want them to hang into the war, I not ready to take all the goodies I can yet (I want Valaise then split off some troops and help out in Naples/Romes)

(oh yea, Rome went with the Ossites for protection)

so, hopeing, I should fight a battle, the English and Russians should fight a battle with the Spanish, which if all works right, I may end up fighting both Russians fleets
