There is a demo available for For Liberty! and we also have a free game: 1848. You should try these to see if you like the game system. NII is a bit more advanced but very similar to FL. Of course the gameplay experience is radically different due to the setting and the geography.
Graphics has improved a lot from FL too, see the screenshots.
