Forts and Trenches

Post by jhdeerslayer »

Are these essentially the same? I am wondering because the manual says 6 weeks to make a fort (a trench in a town maybe?) but then under Fortify in the Army Menu in the Manual it says two weeks to "build fortifications".

Can somebody verify that forts, trenches, etc.. are all the same and they all take 6 weeks unless you have an Engineer ability leader and then 3 weeks?

As far as I know, that's correct.

Now I am wondering...[;)] Seems a Fort, with the box of values adjacent to it, is different then the trench (palisade hex icon).

Sorry, I thought he was asking about the construction time question, I missed the forts being mentioned there. Forts are a separate thing from trenches. They're the ones with the values listed on the side - trenches just look like palisades.
