The two missing, distinctively Napoleonic elements needed in tactical battles are the "column of attack" and skirmishers. The addition of "square" is a good start, but these are very critical elements in the simulation of even this early period of the wars.

I would also like to see the "grenadiers" rendered graphically different than regular infantry on the tactical battle map.

Skirmishers are well simulated by the two hex range of infantry, and indeed by skirmish formation. Equally column does a reasonable job of simulating column (excapt the unit can't fire at all - allowing (much reduced) firepower for coulmns would be a good addition

Speaking of column of attack......

Did Napoleon use column of attack during the Italian campaigns? I'm just about finished reading "The Campaigns of Napoleon", and I could've sworn I read in there that at some time(after the losses in the Spanish campaign?) that Napoleon was forced to switch to the column formation for attacks instead of the line formation, due to the inexperience of the conscripts that made up a majority of the corps in Germany.  Could someone who is an expert on Napoleonic warfare clarify this for me, please?
