Captured cannons and troops

I cannot find or access captured equipment. I focus on getting rid of cannons first with my calvery. No equipment or captured cannons shows up on the 'Replacement Screen' part of Strategic Overview. The items in replacement have been there from the beginning of the game never changing. e.g. 4 cannon, 2 Heavy cannon plus troops. The reinforcement items work fine at the date they are supposed to appear.

The question is how do you capture enemy cannons and troops?
Where do they show up?
How do you access them to add to new army units or current units?

You cannot capture troops. Surrendered troops are added to enemy casualties.
You can capture guns, these are added to your replacement pool.
