i had that problem when i first got the game - i have win 7 64bit also. You may need to change the resolution settings in the game, and also put the frame rate down to 8 - this doesnt slow down things as much as it sounds and doesnt slow down tactical battles either. Also i recommend putting the compatibility settings to winxp and playing around with the other options you can tick in the settings. ALso lastly, if your computer has two graphics cards in it (my laptop has a separate NVIDIA card and built in intel card - i cant recall which one, but one was alot better than the other for running the game.

hmm - what are your computer specs and did you try the suggestions i made? there is also a forum thread somewhere that detailed more information on what to do, as from the company themselves

one thing i found which would cause the game to freeze was if i didnt have the frames set to the lowest in the in game options - have you done this?

In my experience, the thing that really got NiI running under Win7x64 was to set the screen resolution = 1024 x 768. Do this on the desktop before you run the game. Hope this helps.

the dll file fix found here - fixed my issues for this game completely so that i dont even need to use compatibility settings

tm.asp?m=3821109

i have an NVIDIA card on my laptop also and the game works using this along with the files put into the game folder from the link in that thread
