Can't patch to 1.10.10

When I try to patch my game to 1.10.10 the installer dies when it is installing the updater and I get this error

So what can I do to patch my game successfully?

I can't read the tiny little font in the box on your imperial cruiser.  I can make out "A sharing violation" then maybe "occurred while" then maybe "accessing an unnamed file"???

My guess is that the installer is trying to modify a file that's in use somewhere else.  Trying shutting everything else down that you can before running the installer.  I don't have anything to do directly with the installer, so we might have to get input from Matrix on this.

I just bought FoF. Is it the latest version or does it need patched?

And just so I'll know what is the latest version?

If you just got it then you should have no need to patch up -- when we released patch 1.10.10 the gold master was updated. As the game loads, it will say the version number in one of the corners, in case you want to check to be sure.

Yeah, I want to make sure that both me and my opponent are playing the same version.
