vids:iv50

I installed the game on my new laptop. An Acer running windows 7. When the game start it looks as if a video is trying to start in a window. All I get is a type of static, some uncomprehensible sounds, and a message saying: video not available, cannot find 'vids:iv50' video decompresser. Anyone know what the problem is? Thanks in advance.

think you can just skip by that and the game should start

Yes, I can skip and game starts. However I am the type that needs to have things run just so... if not it bothers me to no end. I know, most likely a touch obsessive/compulsive or something else maybe. Anyways I want it to work and work right. Anyhelp would be appreciated. It did work on my vista machine until it died.
