How does one sail units from/to India?

Post by ulver »

How does one sail units from/to India. What sea area does the British need to have amphibious transport in?

Can one take India from Basra? As the Ottomans I found myself unable to advance into India even when it was vacated by the British.

As the British you need amph naval missions in the east med and of course connections from Britain if coming from there. The minimum is east med if you are leaving from Alexandria - you cannot embark from Cairo.

Sorry not sure about the Basra - India route but I know the AI took Basra from me and they advanced from the India but not sure if it wasn't an amph landing.

Just confirmed that as the BE you can attack Basra from India - you need activated units of course.

Yep - which means you need a leader there - so you have to either start one of the Brit leaders there or put some amphibs in the appropriate places in order to shift one there later.

IIRC you can strat move from India to Egypt (& vice versa) without need for amphibs.

No I tried that and it says the distance is too long and I had a full 24 points. Unless I was doing something wrong - only tried it the once.
