Frank Hunter Paved the Way!

Post by JP Falcon the 2nd »

You know, with the glut of WWI titles that have been or will be developed since GOA, I felt it important enough to note (perhaps obvious to some, but not all) that Frank Hunter was the first to attempt the daunting task of creating a game, that many felt could not be done ("who wants to play a stagnate trench war game?"). Well, this game is now buried in the depths of the forum, but I still enjoy playing this gem.

Thanks Frank, for showing the others that it could be done!......[:)]

I've sent your comment on to him ....maybe it'll help persuade him to move the game on from 1.34...which is still a public beta!! :O

I would love to see GOA tweaked. I think that with all of the WW1 games hitting the market Frank and Matrix should run some sort of promo to get the word out on this game and ride the WW1 momentum.
On another note does anyone know what Frank is working on next?

Yes - some sort of WW2 game that looks like it might be linked scenarios - I postd a message from him on another thread here somewhere - I've lost the original email
