Memo from the Imperial Council:
The Council rejects the demands of the United States to give up our gains in the Western Pacific. Once again they show themselves false. They loosely cloak their colonial designs with false words and bluster.
The Western Pacific is clearly within the sphere of influence of the Empire of Japan. The peoples and resources of this region are not here for the West and more specificly for the United States to exploit.
The warriors of the Empire have proven their superiority in battle. This is a war against the colonial aggression of the United States. Soon the Empire will have met their territorial objectives. We have no designs in your sphere of influence. We ask only to meet our destiny without interference from the United States.

HONOR RULE: Shang Hai
Because Shang Hai is garrisoned with British and French troops a rule has been implemented to deal with it.
1. British and French troops must remain at Shang Hai.
2. Japanese Naval forces may bombard and launch air strikes at Shang Hai.
3. If Japanese land forces land in Shang Hai or in any way attack Shang Hai that will activate the British and the French.
4. Allied Naval and Land forces may freely move through and use Shang Hai.
This basic rule has been added to the scenario package.

War Bulletin 6/18/26:
Nanomea Atoll falls to Imperial Marines.
Manchurian forces under Tsung-jen Li are defeated in battle at Tabun-Nur. Additional support troops will move to reinforce the attack. (Have to be careful here. I can only have 2 divisions outside of Manchuria/Korea at this time or I activate the Soviets. This is a Chinese Warlord Army and I was hoping I could route them out. Does not appear it will work out that way. One Manchurian division has every infantry squad disabled!)

Memo from the Imperial Council:
The vanguard of the 3rd Army has reached the city of Manila. If we are forced to fight a city action at Manila many civilian casualties will be lost. Surrender your forces on the Philippines and they will be well treated. The Filippino people have welcomed the Japanese Empire with open arms. If you force a battle in Manila that inflicts high casualies among the new civilians of the Japanese Empire, then we can not be responsible for the fate of the defenders.

War Bulletin 6/25/26:
It is with great shame that we make this report of the war.
US naval forces at Shang Hai inflict heavy damage on a second Battle Squadron that went in to bombard Shang Hai. It is now clear that the Pre-Dreadnaught has very limited usability in modern warfare.
Heavy fighting is reported at Manila and it is hoped the city will quickly fall.
Imperial Army forces have landed at Kiska and Amchikita Island to secure our northern frontier. Any future settlement with the United States would cede these strategic islands to us.
US sub activity has caused the Imperial Navy to radically revise their ASW programs.
An ASW task force operating at Aparri, caused significant damage to a US sub.
