On the West Coast, a small AK was finally ready and is moving to Mare Island from San Diego. No 3 Sqn RAAF, with Sopwith Snipes, came under command of the provisional SWPAC command that ANZAC and the US are forming in case Japan attacks either of the two Commonwealth Nations. This alliance is a purely defensive arrangement, although the US is hoping to push the boundaries of the agreement...
Here are my current options for upgrading my torpedo bombers.
The bombers flying out of Manila finally had some success this turn. I will soon be able to upgrade my DT-2s. I have dropped the attack heights as per one of my previous posts. 4 DDs are sailing from Manila (the only 4 fit for action!) to attempt to disrupt Martin's shipping off Zamboanga. I lost 2 PGs there last time - I am hoping the extra speed and torpedoes will make a difference to the result this time.
S-35 is out of torpedoes and will return to Manila for reloads and, if I remember, a replacement skipper. My S-boats off of Vigan have all been given new assignments.
3 Bns of infantry have arrived from Shanghai to beef up the Hong Kong Garrison. More units are on the way.

I had no idea it was included. Next time I get the turn I'll try to remember to have a look for it.

Various ships are completing upgrades and heading to either PH or Mare Island. Heading to PH from different points are CL Salem and 3 DDs.
The Jap ship/s of Dutch Harbor are a pain. My BC force cannot be sent from Midway through lack of fuel. I have scrambled a reaction force in various states of disrepair from Seattle (see screenie). More S-boats arrived at PH and will move on to patrol Dutch Harbor, Saipan, Guam and Kwajalein.
At Manila, VT-20 upgraded to the SC-1. I am hoping that it will be worth the effort and that their slight range increase (still 2 hexes, but a little faster) and slightly improved load capability will mean that they can start to drop torpedoes. This will seriously menace Martin's Battlewagons, whereas the small bombs employed cannot.

5 DDs are ready at San Diego and are cruising to PH. The Jap ship/s at Dutch Harbor seem to have gone, so the reaction force has slowed down and will now head for Anchorage to finish repairs in the Size 6 Port. Pac Flt and the Langley TF have now joined the BC force at Midway (see screenie).
S-30 has reloaded at Manila and is off back to Naga. The Chinese Army is taking up defensive postions along the Korean Border.

6 DDs are sailing fro PH from San Diego, with 2 more heading out from Los Angeles. I am redistributing the MSWs st San Diego - 2 will be based at every US West Coast port. Another TK is heading for Midway and an alomost repaired AK is taking some supplies to Dutch Harbor. I need to get that base built up, but am shying away from spending the PPs on a side-show.
My replenishment group finally arrived at Midway and got to work refueling the various elements of PacFlt there.

The CL New Orleans (53 sys damage) has sailed in attempt to reach Singapore by a route taking her through the PI chain, hopefully away from patrolling Jap subs. DD Peary (34 sys) has made it to Singapore and is moving onto Bombay. CA Huron, in dry dock at Singapore, has reduced system damage to 21.
Here is the main Dutch Fleet, at anchor in Tarakan.

An AK, an AP and a TK have completed arming and are on their way to Mare Island from San Diego. Another AK is on the way from Seattle. 5 DDs headed out from San Diego for PH.
I still do not know what to push forward and where to push it to. I now have enough PPs for a regiment. I will probably just move some air units from Mare Island for now, but may have to invest in one of the base forces too. The last elements of 298th Infantry are unloading at Midway, covered by the combined PacFlt.
Off Manila, New Orleans is amazingly still afloat. She has damage 70/44/28 and is heading back to Manila. She is one tough little ship. It looks like Martin is planning to take Manila a lot earlier this time. My air units in Manila will need to be rescued at some point, but I do not know where they would move to as China is not currently involved in the war. Holding at Brisbane looks to be the only option bar sending them back to PH or one of the US Islands in SOPAC.
S-41 is moving from her patrol off Okinawa to the Pescadores as Martin seems to have a lot of shipping there...
2 APs were ready at Singapore and are heading to Karachi.

More upgraded AKs moved from San Diego to Mare Island. 2 more DDs are sailing from Los Angeles to PH. The replenishment group with Pac Flt at Midway is nearly empty so they'll head for PH to restock.
The ANZAC force has arrived at Rabaul and disbanded.
CL New Orleans made it to Manila (85/74/20) and has disbanded. 4 chartered Dutch 12 knot AKs are speeding to Manila in ballast to be ready to evacuate the air units there. There is only one US 12 knot AK available and she is heading from Diamond Harbour, where she has just completed her upgrade.
S-2 is moving from Batan Island to Takao. S-40 still has torpedoes, so she will stay on station. Manila is about to be besieged...
No Combat Replay or files this time, I'm afraid, so I do not know what happened in the turn...
2 APs and a TK left San Diego for Mare Island, with another AK moving from Seattle. 2 DDs are ready and sailed for PH from San Diego.
A Jap sub has appeared off Baker Island and BB Missouri has taken up guardship duties at Canton Island (she might have to run if that sub turns up...). A US AK is ready at Sydney and will drop off 5000 tons of supples at Pago Pago on her way to Mare Island.
24th Mountain Artillery Regiment arrived to assist in the defence of Brunei. L-2 reloaded at Singapore and sailed to lay a minefield at Hong Kong.
The screenie below is a bit frustrating - it's a shame I can't load some of the Manila aircraft on this AV. More AKs (in ballast and laden) will head for Manila.
I have been logged out twice trying to post a simple update...[:@]
Martin is back, so these games will start moving again. I just re-read this to refresh my memory. It strikes me that if Martin's strategy is to kick the US out of the Far East without getting into any beef with anybody else, it will be really effective. If he forces the US into a Pacific only strategy he will be able to concentrate his forces along my axis of advance...
