This how I read treaties: When a conditional surrender offer is made by a beaten nation and then accepted by the victor, it is the word of both parties to abide by it and honor it. The surrendered party has no recourse for the remainder of the game, it can not declare war on anybody, it is now a "non-active" it cannot move what armies it has left, it cannot reinforce or upgrade units while neutral, in other-words it cannot defend itself, or prepare to defend itself, it's National Morale is at "zero" and it's economy is in shambles, it is now a "non-participating" nation like all other neutral nations, yet the victor still has an "active" role in the game.

ok, ive read it from 79th turn now

now i finally understand u

it was not neccessary by argentum, he could win it anyway by beating turks, but he has chosen cheesy shortcut

but anyway, there should be more than just at war/not at war, beating country should grant right of passage to victor

What I would concede to a point: Not all nations that surrender have effect NM wise towards it's allies. Case in point: When France "conditionally" surrenders it has the effect of -35 NM on it's allies, where-as when Bulgaria "conditionally" surrenders it has no effect on allies "0" NM IIRC..

any major surrender (not just this one u call conditional) hits morale or not?

it hits just once (for the first time) or not? (he did it so many times, that bulgaria and turkey would end with like -100%)

if 2 x yes, whats the problem with it then?

it was bit dirty, but as i said allready twice, there should be right of passage for victor or hungary should divide from AH and last at war :D

vanillas simplicity is both, strength and weakness at once

For some reason I am not getting through to you?[8|] If there is an "Unconditional" surrender the same penalties apply to the nation/allies involved, it's automatic, nobody has a choice in the decision, "the AI does it".[;)]

yep , its automatically (simple programing solution), so no real treaty including right of passage as it should bave

sometimes happened, that i had unit surrounded by hexes of surrendered nation, its just more ridiculous than u cant pass through as victor to strike next enemy nation

such surrendering is punishing victor, there should be more form of "treaties" than just at war/not at war

argentums solution wasnt nice, but u think its cock sucking just because it shorten unevitable destiny, but i see no big deal in it, it wasnt nothing like game breaking exploit

it was allready decided at point ah surrendered

btw u maybe could make great countermove, u could declare war to germany and ah in the last turn, then u would have stars for keeping them in war, +5 stars, so u could win that match :DDD

No, a long time ago in 2013 my opponent accepted my France's surrender offer, then turned around the next turn and DOW'd France once again, now my dominate fleets were gone and my units never had a chance to refit. I absolutely HATED what he did to better himself, never forgot what a underhanded strategy he pulled, so when someone pulls a stunt like that since then I get MAD and just drop out of the game as a rule, unless they are totally ignorant for what they had just done. To me that is just flat out "cheating". [:@]
