Desert Ambush

Achtung Panzer:Operation Star is an Eastern Front wargame with solid graphics and sprawling battlefields that really emphasize the scope of WWII tank combat. The gameplay is a remarkably realistic turn-based and real-time operational/tactical hybrid wargame that continues the series begun by the acclaimed Achtung Panzer: Kharkov 1943.

Desert Ambush

Post by Redmarkus5 »

Infantry dug in in dead ground (defilade) with armour dug in well to the rear, with good fields of fire...

Just when I thought the battle was over, the AI shows me that it can still surprise.

Then I foolishly left my dug in position to mop-up some strays that were outside my LoS and I lost a tank to an RPG! Damn!

Nice Screen Shots Redmarkus.[8D]

I could never get into that campaign because of the map(Too open for my tastes).
I do enjoy using the modern forces on the other Ukrainian maps.I've been doing QBs depicting Russian Federation forces against the Chechens(Mujihadeen units) and even started using the Cuban forces as Ukrainians against the modern Russians to depict a kind of Chechnya type situation in the Ukraine.
