I have handed off the Word file to Tim. He can do with it what he wants. I would still like to have a go on the unit info section though. Make it read like the unit panel in the game.

I have never received any further information on this. I would make the changes myself if someone could provide info.

Two items posted in the main forum that should be in the manual. IMO

OK gents, I am working on this today and will include the withdraw info and the color coded letters.

I have updated section 4, Units, to a format that matches the unit info panel in the game. I really need you guys to doublecheck this once I am done and have passed it off to PJ (assuming he will post it as in the past). I will review too since it has been awhile since I have played or looked at the manual.

Once this happens I will start a new thread where we can all post additional info or corrections to the existing player's manual.

I got this email from Coakley on 29Mar:

"now that we finally got a patch out for Combat Command, I wanted to see if you could take on the roll of further updating the manual?

You did some great work already but I have more info in a bunch of e-mails from the testers and in the forum from the past few months."

I have not heard from him yet but am still ready to finish the job. PJ has provided the tables in section 10 that are not 100% but close enough to warrant discussion here on the forum. I have already added lots of stuff from Joe98's comments et al.

Just waiting.

When I first got this wargame I read the manual a number of times.

As for the tables, at first I started to do the same exercise done by PJ. Then I realised all I realy need is 2 lists covering each topic:

1. On the attack, what can I do to improve my results?

2. On the defense, what can I do to improve my results?

Is there a final version other than the original 'draft' version available?

I was also wondering if such a document existed.
