Game ocasionally freezes

When I play against the AI, the game freezes while the AI is playing it's turn.

When the AI's turn is finished, the screen returns to normal and i can continue the game.

The desktop is Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

In the game's option screen I set everything to the slowest possible speed.

In a current PBEM game, I watch the replay of the opponent's turn and the game does not freeze

I play the same scenario against an AI opponent and the game freezes during the AI movement phase

After movement is complete the game continues.

In a different scenario, in a PBEM game, the computer is resolving the Direct Fire phase, and again the computer freezes as above.

After the phase is complete the game continues.

The game isn't freezing here, the screen just isn't graphically updating while the AI plays. You should only notice this if you switch to another app and then switch back. I'll add it to the Issue list to fix.

An issue like this was brought up long ago during the Beta. However, as mentioned it's not really a freeze. It seems more to do with the AI THINKING, and not always showing in real-time what is being carried out. Everything is/was carried out as normal & expected, but I do agree that the Aesthetics of the matter could perhaps do with some improvement here.

I've got it fixed all purty.

With Beta 1.02 the screen still freezes.

I cannot watch my opponents replay because all I can see is a white screen.

With Beta 1.03 the screen still freezes.

I also get the game *thinking* without updating screen in all versions to date, including the latest beta (1.03). However my screen does not go white I just have the screen frozen until the game catches up on itself. This happens with Win XP SP3 & Win 7 machines. It only happens in the Direct Fire phase.
