I made my preorder today

Korsun Pocket is a the second game using the award winning SSG Decisive Battles game engine. Korsun Pocket recreates the desperate German attempt to escape encirclement on the Russian Front early in 1944. The battle is a tense and exciting struggle, with neither side having a decisive advantage, as the Russians struggle to form the pocket, then try to resist successive German rescue efforts and last ditch attempts at breakout.

Just myself today preordered from Duchet, but have a question. Will they be dispatching on release, or will they not have any in stock prior to release?

Given the cost effective choice, I too would have preferred to order from Matrix themselves, but if there is one department I have to pull up with Matrix is thier shipping costs to Europe for individual buyers.

Sorry guys, but no medal here in this department, perhaps its something worth looking into?

Apart from that small dig, everything else is hunky dorey with Matrix, keep it up.

To be fair....this isnt really the fault of matrix

its whoever they choose to be their overseas carrier

Of course matrix could provide some of the cost to keep the overall shipping cost down...but they are a small company so thats not really an option

I wonder if the box and what comes in it will be the same as our version

I know that in germany all the SS names will be taken out and replaced with something
I hope you other guys dont have that happen

Well, although technically it may not be thier fault, I can only go by other co's with who I have had experience with and the shipping costs are considerably less from the US.

To quote names, maybe wrong but just for records so you know Im not making it up, I have used HPS sims and Battlefront before and shipping has been reasonable.

A final note on this, and I really dont like raining critism on a great company, but do believe in pointing out things that could be better where possible, is ,,,how come a third party , in this case Duchet (who I presume still has to import from Matrix ) manage to ship to us Euro's for what can be considered a considerable saving?

Just Play and Matrix Games Deal

Post by David Heath »

Hi Pawlock

Most of our games that are Europe bound will now be made in UK or Europe. They will also be in DVD boxes. Matrix Games has teamed up with Just Play (www.justplaynow.com). So since they will be handling the printing and selling of our products in Europe this will greatly help in bringing down the costs a lot.

Just Play has just released into Europe Uncommon Valor and Starships Unlimited Divided Galaxies. They will also be releasing Korsun Pocket, Titans of Steel Warring Suns and Operation Barbarossa (An add on for Forgotten Battles).

One little reminder since Just Play is now printing and shipping our products in Europe may also make them a little behind our US release date. Just Play and Matrix will be working closely to make sure its a very short difference if any at all.

Oh one more thing. We are currently setting up a new store with Digital River and should be live this week. Once this is up you will be able to place preorders for the US and Canada as well.

David.

David, thanks for that. Its nice to see why and where differences occur, and what you have just explained tells me a lot as to why there is the differences Im seeing.

It's an add on for IL2 - it has nothing to do with Korsun Pocket.

Will EB be stocking the game, or will you have to order in advance?

Any idea on the cost?

I would think it would be on store shelves

And the cost to be $50 american

You live in a big city....so im sure you have plenty of options for finding it

Check out Gamestop, babbages or software etc stores as well

And if all else fails..you can order from www.ebgames.com
or from matrix (since it eliminates the middle man they make alot more money)
But like I said...I have gift certificates so its either use those or wait a month to get the money to charge in my debit card
