October Release?

Korsun Pocket is a the second game using the award winning SSG Decisive Battles game engine. Korsun Pocket recreates the desperate German attempt to escape encirclement on the Russian Front early in 1944. The battle is a tense and exciting struggle, with neither side having a decisive advantage, as the Russians struggle to form the pocket, then try to resist successive German rescue efforts and last ditch attempts at breakout.

October Release?

Post by Kent Pfeiffer »

The website says Korsun Pocket is planned for an October release. If so, it should be very close to going gold. Anybody know if it is?

Glad to hear that good news is on the horizon for Korsun Pocket. I for one am eagerly looking foward to its release. I have pulled out TAO and am poring through the rules and playing a few PBEM games to get back to speed.
A question for SSG/ Matrix. As the Germans struggled to get across the river back to friendly confines how is that modelled in the game? I know that in TAO an out of supply surrounded unit is dead meat. Maybe a variation on the "forced march" bullets used in version 2.3 of TAO?
I am sure that I will have many other questions to ask in the next few weeks.

November Release

Post by David Heath »

Hi Guys

The game will not release before November. There are a few more items we want to address and we plan to expand our beta testing this week to some new gamers.

This is excellent news David (for some) and it shows the game is advancing along nicely. Thanks for keeping us informed.

Is there still a chance that this game will be released this month? I would think it would have to go gold no later than this week for that to be possible. Can anyone say how close to gold it is?

Not that I dont eagerly anticipate this masterpiece, but in a perverted kinda way Im glad. You see Im still very much into UV atm, and another of my awaited games "Hearts of Iron" has gone gold. So I can only play so many games at once :-)

I take it that this is no longer a possibility? Dose anyone know when the game will be released?
