Is this coming out tomorrow?

Korsun Pocket is a the second game using the award winning SSG Decisive Battles game engine. Korsun Pocket recreates the desperate German attempt to escape encirclement on the Russian Front early in 1944. The battle is a tense and exciting struggle, with neither side having a decisive advantage, as the Russians struggle to form the pocket, then try to resist successive German rescue efforts and last ditch attempts at breakout.

Dont quote me on it.. but last I heard was that it will ship around the first week of July. Maybe someone from Matrix can give us a firmer date..
Isn't that bizarre?

EB website shows July 1. Just a few days ago they had July 7 so maybe that is a good sign.

The game is very very close. I think Matrix are just adding some spit and polish to the presentation - remember they have to package it, supply it etc. A lot of people are doing a lot of overtime so hang in there. The next announcement from them will be the release.

I have been waiting and waiting for this game, like all of us.

However,

Surprise me and release the game during this summer:(

When Korsun Pocket is "done"...

Post by humunuku »

As soon as Matrix is "done" with Korsun Pocket...please start working on additional scenarios to accompany The Ardennes Offensive (i.e., beyond the SINGLE, 34-turn scenario already being included).

Because of Matrix' great reputation on releasing patches for games (like Uncommon Valor)...AND the great support given to TAO by Chris Merchant on this forum, with his obvious close relationship with SSG and Matrix giving him the ability to keep us grognards up-to-date with what's going on with Korsun Pocket and TAO...AND the frequent input by Ross Moorhouse about KP and TAO here...I will be buying Korsun Pocket.

KP and the Russian Front is definitely not my favorite genre, but Chris has convinced me that additional scenarios will be designed by SSG or others (and tested to a reliable degree of quality), such that there should be much more of The Ardennes Offensive to suit my taste within 6-12 months.

I have expressed these views partly because I am very thankful for Chris' continuing efforts...and SSG/Matrix for reinvigorating the TAO game engine with this "new and improved" KP version, complete with a TAO version that will work with WIN XP...and partly to make sure that SSG and Matrix know how important TAO is to me: How about the rest of you?

Thanks for listening,

Bob Cohen

I agree humunuku, I like the game system alot, and Chris and Rob have furthered the interest of everyone a great deal. I can think of no better advertisment campaign that gave as much insight into the product then what those two were able to provide. Some big advertising companies could learn from that, simple product based information in an entertaining fashion is effective. (hopefully  , the game sells well to back this up). If not alot of people will be missing out on a good game I feel.
We aim to please, unless there is a clear headshot.
