Korsun Pocket is a the second game using the award winning SSG Decisive Battles game engine. Korsun Pocket recreates the desperate German attempt to escape encirclement on the Russian Front early in 1944. The battle is a tense and exciting struggle, with neither side having a decisive advantage, as the Russians struggle to form the pocket, then try to resist successive German rescue efforts and last ditch attempts at breakout.

I'm new here. Just learned to play a little bit of Korsun Pocket. I think the biggest task is not learning the rules, but get feeling of the tactical side of the game.
Just to know: Are there others here that have played ASL ??

Don't tell Bob (McNamara) and Charlie (Kibler) who work right down the hall from me, but no I've never played ASL.

I played ASL. Big unit size difference. Squads, individual vehicles, leaders vs KP with battalions and regiments. Have you played any larger scale boardgames or computer games? If not, think more in terms of front lines, penetrations, surrounding enemy units, keeping your units in supply etc.
