Open Beta has begun

Germany At War: Operation Barbarossa 1941 is an elegant turn-based design, inspired by classics such as Panzer General, but with more of a historical focus. You command the German forces through a branching historical campaign covering the entire 1941 campaign as well as part of the 1942 campaign. Dozens of scenarios stretch from the Soviet border all the way to Archangel and towards Astrakhan, the original military goals of Operation Barbarossa. Step into a wargame where your performance will rewrite history, through an addictive combination of compelling gameplay, realistic events and challenging battles.

Sometimes I have positive +1 combat predictions for both the player and the enemy?
Another example:

Hi folks,

Germany at War 1.09 Beta Ausf. B is now linked in the first post of this thread. It includes all fixes of Soviet Dawn, some general fixes as well as a new feature (turn display in panel).

The "Known issues" are either not detectable or will be considered to be fixed at a later point.

Thanks for all your reports and have fun.

I think that you should wait at least 1-2 weeks.

For the destroyed bridge, it seems to be a Shadow Resolution problem :

We can wait until the 4th of October if there are still bugs in the campaigns or maps coming up.

The price of IS tanks (1/2)

The price of the IS tanks (IS 1 & IS 2) is really too low, cheaper than T-34 tanks :

The availlability of the SU-122 (1/2)

It is not possible to purchase the SU-122 in the Leningrad or Bagration scenario. I do not know the expiry date of the SU-122 but I know that it was produced until summer 1944.

The Artillery purchase screen of the Leningrad or Bagration scenario :

The price of IS tanks (2/2)

Maybe it is a formation problem with the IS 1 & IS 2 tanks?
Is it normal to have the possibility to purchase an entire Division with IS 1 or 2 tanks ?
Maybe the price for the IS 1 or 2 tanks Division is the price of a Brigade ?

In the scenario Bagration, you have a SU-122 pre-deployed :

Hi terminator,

SU-122:

There a two different dates i could find on Wikipedia.

In the English section it states that "Production continued until the summer of 1944, by which time a total of about 1,150 SU-122s had been built."

But in the German article there is this statement:

"Die Fertigung des SU-122 endete nach dem Bau von 638 Einheiten im August 1943, als die Produktionskapazitäten für die Herstellung des neuen Jagdpanzers SU-85 freigemacht wurden."

My rough translation:

"The manifacturing of the SU-122 ended after building 638 units in August 1943 when those production capacities were freed for the sake of the new tank destroyer SU-85."

Further more they state that in 1944 the machine disappeared mostly from units due to heavy losses in late 1943.

In my books i could not find any dates about production, so i went with August 1943 as last month to get the SU-122 in the game by buying.

Hi Ronald,

From time to time, I have this crash during the game.

I have activated the option "Create a savegame at each turn". I have to restart the game and then load the last savegame. I play with 4Go RAM without specific video card.

The crash happens after you play 2-3 missions, then you seem to run out of memory. The early versions only crashed if there was an error.
The art of war is simple and esay to understand but fighting a war is hard.
