Any news on 1.09?

Germany At War: Operation Barbarossa 1941 is an elegant turn-based design, inspired by classics such as Panzer General, but with more of a historical focus. You command the German forces through a branching historical campaign covering the entire 1941 campaign as well as part of the 1942 campaign. Dozens of scenarios stretch from the Soviet border all the way to Archangel and towards Astrakhan, the original military goals of Operation Barbarossa. Step into a wargame where your performance will rewrite history, through an addictive combination of compelling gameplay, realistic events and challenging battles.

Will we see any 1.09 update for GaW or is it put on hold? Hope not.

Cheers

The latest version I know about is v. 109 Ausf E, it can be downloaded from this forum.

There are a couple of maps for standalone scenarios (Netherlands 1940 and Murmansk 1941) but they are far from being completed.

At present I am trying to find the right balance between modding and other things. I guess the best idea would be to do a little bit every week.
The art of war is simple and esay to understand but fighting a war is hard.

Hi folks,

sorry for my bad communication on this, but during January my health was not good and hardly could keep up with things.

As Germany at War is a side project for me it is also the first thing that gets delays. Any time i get on top of my stuff again, i fix & create as much as possible for GaW.

This means 1.09 is not cancelled, the known issues discussed in this forum will be fixed and hopefully more is to come in the future.

But as i stated here many times i can make no promises as to how much it will be. I hope this clarifies things.

Regards,
Edorf

Thanks for the response, guys.

Sorry to hear about your health problem, Ronald. I hope things are going better.
I bought GAW some time ago and haven’t played it too much yet because I’ve been waiting for the update. But no problem.
Looking forward to any further contribution to the game.

Regards

Hi Edorf,

thanks for asking. The last two weeks my health got better and better. While i am not back to normal yet, i get things done again.

The next update has some nice stuff in it imho. Besides the Soviet campaign that is. If i find the energy/time afteer 1.09 is out, pre-Barbarossa stuff will be in the focus.

Beta version seems taken as is for the released version,
click on "GERMANY AT WAR v1.09" here:
http://www.phobetor.de/de/spiele/germany-at-war
Download 1.09 update, unpack it, copy whole content of its \GaW 1-09\ folder in your game folder, writing over.

Hi ErissN6,

Version 1.09 Ausf. G seems indeed only to available through that link you posted. I guess now that our partnership with Matrix ends we won't see the update here anymore ?

But i am in the dark like you in regards to that.
