Game crash

Post by Robcoccia »

Hello,
I bought Germany at War few days ago and the game crash every time. The application start without problem but when I load a scenario the game crash, usually after 30 seconds with a message telling the application doesn't work and the system has closed it.

I tried to reinstall the game several times with and without the patch 1.05, with and without C++ without solving the problem.
I noticed that the first time I installed the game C++ install subroutine report an error that I solved reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable.

My pc is windows 7 and I guess a compability problem so I tried to run the game with windows XP compability mode but it doesn't work.

Hello,

thanks for your system data.Could you please add the games' logs ?

They are located here:

C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Germany at War

Germany at War should not need any compatibily modes on Win7 and higher, it was developed on those systems and we got it running there in several configuraions.

Hello Roberto,

there are some addtional questions that might help us getting to a solution.

- does the editor work properly ? Can you start it and load a map or work on it ?
- did you try various scenarios ?
- do you run any other 3d games on your computer and could you name them ?

Hello Roberto,

we could fit in our check earlier and our research points at your graphics card.

Your laptop might need a bios and driver update. Here they solve similar problem :

https://communities.intel.com/thread/25 ... 0&tstart=0

This is the key if you want to search the web for more information:

0xc0000005 igdumd32.dll

Hope this will help, please keep us updated.

Answering for points:

- The editor works well, I can work with it, I can save and load a map.

- I tried 10 scenarios more o less + tutorial + campaign Army Group North

- On my computer I can run:
Conflict of Heroes
Unity of Command
Frontline Road to Moscow
Europa Universalis - Rome
Civilization IV - Colonization
Heroes of Might and Magic V

Plus other games that are not 3d like: Distant Worlds, Battle from the Bulge, Advanced Tactics gold, Quadriga

I make a general system update with built-in application and I try to run the game with the same final result [:(].
But the system message error reports something different.

Is not reported an APPCRASH but BEX, and the module involved is "StackHash_0a9e" .

You will find attached the printscreen with the new message and the old one.

Bye

Hello Roberto,

the error message still indicates an issue with the graphics card.

Did you also update your graphic drivers ? Is there a second graphics card installed by any chance ?

Hello Roberto,

your driver version differs from the one that is labeled as the latest by Intel in this list:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Search ... 0&lang=eng

It's version number is 15.12.75.4.64.1930 (8.15.10.1930) and might reslove your problems.

Please let us know if this helped.

Regards,
