A little warning

Post by Ronald Wendt »

Hi folks,

during creating a new map for Rostov 1941 i came across a bug that can crash the game.

Its a rare bug as you have to exceed a certain amount of entries in the "Resources per turn" section of a map.

This was fixed will be included in 1.09. Until then you can cause a crash of you wildly add resource entries there as i did [:'(]

Hi Ronald,

Bug hunt is common in scenario building - at least ias far as I know.

A new Rostov map could be interesting for AGS or 1941 campaign. Depending on how far AGS has gone and what Soviets have left, they may try to retake Rostov. Maybe not in teh AA or 1941 campaign but in the historical AGS.

Hi Marechal,

this one is a single map which can be played on both sides and will be delivered with update 1.09. You can have the current state (historical OoB, all victory conditions set - just not balanced yet), if you think you can use it in another context.

Cheers,

Hi Ronald,

It would be worth looking at. It can be used in a more historical AG South campaign or maybe in Eastern Front 1941 (assuming the Soviets try to retake Rostov as they did historically.)

The AI is good as a counter-attacker. If it has enough forces, or if you send an unsupported infantry division to a wrong place, it can make very nasty surprises.
