Still can't Finish a Campaign

Post by rkfm »

I've tried to play three campaigns, and at about the third mission no units appear. I've tried the work-around from the sticky post, but it doesn't work. Could you be more specific about the steps?

Also, where are my replacements? On one campaign I got 'Outstanding' performance, yet my battalion was pretty decimated. Didn't get any replacements for the next mission, which was almost all armor (I'm playing an Inf Bat)! In fact, I haven't received any replacements for any of my CGs, of course I never get past the third mission anyhow.

I wonder if the low number of units has something to do with the disappearing units bug? Usually by the third mission I'm down to maybe a company worth of effectives.

Ah, these Dynamic Campaigns will be the death of me.

Keep in mind, only the East Front German Campaigns have been looked into in order to come up with a process that will work for the other countries and games. Furthermore, with the 1.03 update scheduled, they will be totally revised again.

Which game are you playing? What campaign are you playing? What is the unit you are using? (which Corps, Division, etc)

Which work around are you trying?

There is a replacement file located here:

tm.asp?m=1543146

You have to unzip these two files into the East Front folder.

With the Dynamic Campaigns, the performance levels are based on the points you have achieved. Even if you have one platoon left and you managed to secure that magic point level, you will still receive the Outstanding performance.

While these get sorted, you could try the Linked Campaigns.. they tend to be vastly superior.

[;)] We know you're trying your best.

Ah, I didn't know the work-around only worked for EF. I've been having probs with WF, specifically the DCG 'The Road to Germany'. I'm playing as an American Inf Bat.

Thanks,

Potentially, but not right now IMO. For example for EF for russian side there is only two LCG, both brigade level and relatively short. There is no upgrades in LCG and no promotions. There is no equipment diversity. Form the other hand DCG could be battalion/brigade/corps level, and take on all the war. I tried first 2 battles of LCG "Operation Rumyantsev" and found it not very entertaining - too much micromanagement, passive AI. May be it's getting better later, but DCG Barbarossa on the brigade level is a lot more interesting, and fun from the start.
