well this file shows version 2.00
ftp://ftp.matrixgames.com/pub/JohnTille ... R-v200.zip

what's strange -
- despite being windowed, it stills keep repainting my Windows scheme to khaki colours
- setting animation speed to fastest value possible is too slow anyway, I don't want teleportation but movement should be a lot of faster
- some sections of the EBOOK manual was not updated (especially explanation of menu functions)

what version does it show on your game screen after install? My file says 2.00 also but the description mentions 104 and the wording describes 104 from what i remember.

I have updated the manual, but there wasn't enough time for Matrix to compile it, so we will be including it in the 2.01 UPDATE. In the meantime I will post the major manual changes in a post.

downloaded and installed thanks it will take some time to get used to interface changes after such a long time.

I can echo Arkady in that it is repainting some of my Windows scheme to khaki colours. it used to do it only when it crashed now it does it when I exit the program normally.

Hmm, it's not supposed to do that, on normal game exit my system window colors are restored. Are you using Windows 8* perhaps?

And on my Windows 7 system, 1.04 and before behaved just the opposite -- on game exit, left in place the game colors, crash or no.

Strange!

Answered elsewhere.
- setting animation speed to fastest value possible is too slow anyway, I don't want teleportation but movement should be a lot of faster
Before, the choices were binary: fast or slow, nothing in between. We have given you a wide range of "in between". The graphics routines were not optimized, so yes, the fastest speed is no faster than before.
- some sections of the EBOOK manual was not updated (especially explanation of menu functions)
So as not to delay release another month, updating the in-game Manual failed to make the cut. We will be posting doc updates here at the forum as appropriate.

Jason, Berto, and the whole team, thanks. As someone said it will take some time to get used to some of the changes. The new 2d icons are different, and that will take some time to get used to as well.

I like the new sound effects!

This was my baby, also a work in progress, as it has not been touched in 15 years! For the first time, when in extreme 2D zoom, you should also have corresponding icons instead of blank counters, when using the military symbols. I've added very many new symbols, when this is complete, I will also have a map, as it were of all the icons. We simply ran out of time, WF is not finished, and need to do EF/RS yet, but am very excited about the 2D aspect now!! Most units will have a distinct 2d picture, as opposed to the Military Symbol, instead of 50+ units using the same, or just plain wrong one!

I take it I need to have Campaign Series installed before installing version 2.00?
