Another Vista problem - no Help function...

Post by jamespcrowley »

....which means that you cannot access any of the data or parameter tables [:(]

It says that Vista does not support this function any more.

This, together with the "white-out" issue does not bode well for my enjoyment of the game and I'm very surprised that this one got through beta testing.

The help file issue is not a problem with the game but with Vista. The files required to open the help file (a compiled HTML file) are not included in Vista because MS have deprecated their use. You can download the required files from the MS website. Is this a cock-up ? Yes,but an MS one, not a Matrix one.

If you mean the white-out while scrolling, that's addressed in the readme. You need to use a direct shortcut with the "Disable Desktop Composition" checked in the compatibility tab.

What should I specifically look/search for to download to correct this?[&:]

Did you happen to look at the Readme.txt file?
