Saving LCGs 1.04

Post by junk2drive »

Any tips on how to save LCGs now that we have autosave and overwrite?

My problem is that if I do poorly in battle 3, I don't want to have to play battle 1 and 2 over again to get to 3.

Well now the LCG crashed. Restarting takes me to a messed up point where my units are in a previous hex with the APs that they had after they moved and fired so I can't go on at 16 of 18 turns.

Edit cuz i'm stuuupid.

Paul, just delete the file called campaign.cpn then you can start at the beginning of the current mission.

To play more than one LCG you have to manually rename the 2 files called campaign.ccl and campaign.ccn. Save these to a backup folder if, in the future, you want to go back further.

hope this helps.

By the time I read this I had already went ahead and lost the battle and started the next. Wish I had seen this first. I'll try save as... next time.

Thanks for the help.

eh... not exactly.

"save as" during a linked campaign will only give you a .btl file. That allows you to play the saved game as a stand alone scenario.

Hopefully this file save disconnect will be addressed for 1.05.

Doggone it. Hurts when it crashes.
